Blackheath Kite Day and Family Fun

“Come fly a kite” with the Blackheath Society.

The extremely successful kite day we organised last year, will be held again on the Heath this year, near All Saints Church. The Kent Kite Flyers will come and put on a display with their super big kites from 12 o’clock onwards. We trust the weather will be favourable. All independent kite flyers are welcome, guidance and advice from the experts will be on hand if you would like it. Perhaps make your own kite and bring it along.

The steel pan band from Grinling Gibbons primary school will play at 2pm to add to the festive occasion. Food and soft drinks are planned, or bring your own picnic and there are many eating venues in the village. No special parking arrangements are available.

Jimmy Botton will be holding his family fun fair the same weekend in the field by Royal Parade and All Saints Church.

Come and join us for a traditional family day out.
