Join us on a tour with Douglas McIntosh, director at Mae Architects and an introduction from Morden College’s CEO, David Rutherford-Jones.
John Morden Centre is the award-winning new day care centre for residents of Morden College. It brings together facilities currently spread across the college site into an innovative, characterful new building designed to tackle social isolation among older residents by providing spaces to interact.
Morden College is a Grade I listed building, founded in 1695 by Sir John Morden and built by Sir Christopher Wren’s master builder and successor, Edward Strong. The new center makes reference to the historic context in its colonnade, roofscape and brickwork.
Meet at the Main gates of Morden College, 19 St Germans Place, SE3 0PW at 9.50 am.
Tickets £15, on sale from 15th April.
