Zoom: The continuing story of the Huguenots

Jonathan Ouvry, Vice President and past President for the Huguenot Society will lead a zoom talk on “The Continuing Story of the Huguenots” since the Huguenots are not just history. There are still a number of Huguenot institutions and charities, including the Huguenot Society of Great Britain and Ireland. His forebears were Huguenot silk weavers in Spitalfields in the late 17th and 18th centuries. The talk could last for hours (or days!) but he will limit himself to 30 or 40 minutes and will include some historical background, stories of escapes from France, and famous Huguenots in history. There is a very strong history of Huguenots in Greenwich, which will be included in the talk. There will be an opportunity for questions.
