Due to the popularity of this event, society member Jonathan Causer will repeat his walk with members round Greenwich Park with reference to its history, development and events. Meet at the main Greenwich Park gates onto Blackheath at 10 o’clock. Please register for a place on Eventbrite.co.uk, a request for a donation of £5 for the Blackheath Society will be made on joining the walk.

After 30 years of living in Blackheath, we thought we knew Greenwich Park fairly well. However, when we accompanied Jonathan Causer on his walk, we learned more about places we knew and discovered sites we had not seen. His notes were both in-depth and light hearted. The “rule of six” made it more of an exclusive event than it deserved and we hope to share his expert knowledge with a bigger crowd in the future.
